Echo Montgomery Garrett

Advisory Board — Community Partnerships & Engagement

Echo Montgomery Garrett is an award-winning journalist with a 40-year career and the co-author of 25 nonfiction books, including My Orange Duffel Bag: A Journey to Radical Change, a multi-award-winning youth memoir that has sold or been donated in nearly 100,000 copies. A first-generation college student herself, she co-founded the Orange Duffel Bag Initiative (ODBI) in 2010, a nonprofit providing executive-level life coaching and long-term advocacy for young people aging out of foster care or facing poverty and homelessness, and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. Echo brings this depth of experience in youth development, nonprofit leadership, and storytelling to More Than Muscle's Advisory Board.

Patrick S. Muhammad

Advisory Board — Education & School Partnerships

Patrick S. Muhammad is Head of School at Chattahoochee Hills Charter School and owner of Your Faith Farms in South Fulton, where he blends K–8 education with hands-on agriculture to teach students and families science, stewardship, and self-sufficiency. On his family's 31-acre homestead, he mentors first-generation growers and makes farming approachable, dignified, and doable. Patrick brings this background in education leadership and school partnerships to More Than Muscle's Advisory Board.
